Sinus pressure and dizziness without congestion

Pressure in the face does not establish sinusitis. Migraine can produce facial pain and dizziness, while an inner-ear disturbance may cause spinning or imbalance without nasal symptoms. Dehydration, overheating, low blood sugar, anxiety, medication effects, and neck tension can also contribute. Sinusitis becomes more plausible when pressure accompanies nasal discharge, reduced smell, fever, or tenderness that persists. Describe whether dizziness means spinning, light-headedness, or unsteadiness.

Sit or lie down when dizzy, rise slowly, drink fluids if you can, and avoid driving, heights, and machinery until your balance is reliable. Keep movements gentle and reduce visual stimulation if it worsens symptoms. Record the timing, head position, hearing changes, headache features, and any nausea. A pharmacist or clinician can review medicines and suggest suitable relief after considering your history.

Call emergency services for sudden trouble speaking, facial drooping, one-sided weakness, severe new headache, fainting, chest pain, or inability to walk safely. Seek prompt assessment for new hearing loss, persistent vomiting, severe eye symptoms, fever with facial swelling, or dizziness that is worsening. Arrange a review when episodes recur or affect normal activities.

Ask whether the dizziness sounds like vertigo, light-headedness, or imbalance; whether migraine, sinusitis, or an ear condition is more consistent; and whether you need examination of your ears, nerves, blood pressure, or medicines.
