Pet dander allergy test: what it means

Dander means tiny flakes of skin, but the triggering proteins may also be carried in saliva or urine. Testing may look for a response to a particular animal. A positive test does not automatically explain every symptom or indicate how severe a reaction will be. Your clinician may consider other allergies, including house dust mite allergy, and conditions such as allergic rhinitis or allergic conjunctivitis.
