What should you know about walking pneumonia symptoms?

A person may notice a dry or mucus-producing Cough, low energy, headache, sore throat, Fever, or Chills. Breathlessness and chest discomfort can appear with activity, while some people mainly notice that a cough is not settling. Coughing Up Phlegm may occur, but its absence does not rule out a lung infection.

COVID-19, Influenza, and other respiratory illnesses can overlap with these symptoms. Their pattern, examination findings, timing, and exposure history help a clinician decide what to investigate. Mild-looking symptoms do not always reflect how much inflammation is affecting the lungs.

Seek medical advice when a cough or fever persists, breathing becomes harder, chest pain develops, or fatigue interferes with normal activities. Note when symptoms began, how they are changing, and whether you have measured a fever or noticed breathlessness with walking. This information helps a clinician assess you.
