The Hungarian word may appear in searches when someone wants an explanation in Hungarian, but the medical condition is the same. It commonly affects the centre of the face. Symptoms can include episodes of flushing, redness that lingers, visible tiny vessels, warmth, stinging and acne-like bumps. Dryness or irritation may make the face feel unusually reactive. A clinician considers the full pattern because similar changes can arise from acne, contact irritation or dermatitis.

Keep skincare simple: cleanse gently, moisturise regularly and use sun protection. Avoid scrubbing, fragranced products and any item that causes burning. Note heat, sunlight, spicy meals, hot beverages and alcohol as possible personal triggers rather than assuming every trigger affects everyone. A dermatologist can tailor treatment, such as azelaic acid, and may consider IPL or pulsed dye laser treatment for selected redness or vessels.
