Cupping for Gout: What to Know

Gout is an inflammatory arthritis caused by urate crystal build-up in a joint. Cupping may change skin sensation but cannot lower urate or control the flare mechanism. A hot, very painful, swollen joint deserves medical advice, particularly when the diagnosis has not been confirmed.
