UAE flu vaccine demand is rising as schools reopen after the summer break, Gulf News reported, creating a September demand spike for Dubai clinics, school health teams and insurers.

Dubai demand meets price-sensitive parents

Dubai is the first pressure point because school reopening concentrates demand among families with children, working parents and teachers. The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) regulates Dubai providers, and operators should confirm their approved vaccination workflow, cold-chain handling and claim coding before promoting walk-in campaigns.

Abu Dhabi and northern emirates have different access rules

Abu Dhabi has a clearer public access signal. The Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre says the seasonal flu vaccine is free and widely available in the emirate. Department of Health Abu Dhabi (DOH) rules also matter because selected pharmacies have been authorised to administer influenza vaccines to adults over 18.

DOH-linked pharmacy access changes patient routing. It gives insurers and clinic groups a reason to review whether adult flu vaccination should sit in primary care, pharmacy partners or employer campaigns.
