What it may mean

Yeast can multiply in warm, moist skin folds and may affect areas around the nose, mouth or eyelids. Burning, itching, fine scaling or small spots can occur. A facial rash is not the usual pattern of vaginal thrush, so an examination helps distinguish yeast from eczema, contact irritation, acne or a bacterial infection.

What to do

Gently cleanse the area, pat it dry and pause new cosmetics, fragranced products and heavy creams. Do not put an antifungal or steroid product near the eyes unless a clinician has advised it.
