Why does chronic sinusitis cause headache?

Ongoing swelling can narrow the channels that ventilate and drain the sinuses. This may produce a dull ache or sense of pressure near the brow, between the eyes, or in the cheeks, sometimes alongside a blocked nose or discharge.
