What should you know about Vivace microneedling?

A microneedling pen moves across selected areas while sterile, fine needles make tiny punctures in the skin. This controlled injury signals repair activity and can improve the look of uneven texture, fine lines, and some acne-scar changes over time. The device and needle depth should be chosen for the treatment area, skin condition, and treatment goal.

Redness, warmth, tightness, mild swelling, or pinpoint bleeding can occur soon after treatment. Results develop gradually as the skin remodels; one session may not address every concern. Vivace is not the same as a laser treatment, and it should not be performed over an active infection or unexplained rash.

Before treatment, tell the clinician about active acne, cold sores, eczema, psoriasis, recent tanning, medicines that affect bleeding, and any history of dark marks after skin injury. Arrive with clean skin and follow instructions about pausing irritating products. Afterward, use only the recommended gentle cleanser and moisturiser, avoid picking or scrubbing, and protect treated skin from sunlight. Delay strong acids, retinoids, heat exposure, swimming, and strenuous exercise until your clinician says the skin barrier has recovered.

Contact the treating clinic if redness or swelling is worsening rather than settling, or if you develop increasing pain, spreading warmth, pus, fever, blistering, or a rapidly changing dark area. Seek urgent medical help for facial swelling affecting breathing or swallowing, widespread hives, or severe eye symptoms.

Ask which concern is being treated, what needle depth and sterile technique will be used, how many appointments may be considered, which products to pause, and when you can resume exercise, makeup, retinoids, or exfoliating acids.
