What should you know about vertigo visual?

Short answer
Visual blurring or a sense that the surroundings are moving can occur during vertigo, but sudden or persistent visual change needs medical assessment.
This answers one question. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace an assessment by a licensed doctor.

What visual vertigo can feel like
Vertigo is a false sensation of movement, often spinning, rocking or tilting. The eyes, inner ear and brain normally compare signals to keep you oriented. During an episode, those signals may not agree, causing blurred vision, difficulty focusing or the feeling that a room is shifting. Head movement, busy patterns, scrolling screens and bright lights can make this more noticeable.
Brief symptoms triggered by rolling in bed or looking up can occur with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. Vertigo with ringing in the ear or changing hearing can occur with Meniere's Disease. Migraine can cause visual symptoms with or without a headache. A Middle Ear Infection may disturb balance when ear inflammation is present. These patterns overlap, so visual symptoms alone do not identify the cause.
What to do during an episode
Sit or lie down somewhere safe, keep your head still, and focus on a fixed object if that feels helpful. Avoid driving, climbing, bathing alone or operating machinery until your balance and vision have returned. Move slowly from lying to sitting and standing, and ask someone to stay nearby if you feel at risk of falling.
Record what you were doing, whether one direction triggered it, how long it lasted, and whether headache, hearing change, weakness or nausea occurred. Arrange a clinical review if episodes recur, interfere with walking or continue after the spinning settles. An Epley Manoeuvre may help a positional pattern, but it should be matched to the affected side and diagnosis.
When to seek urgent help
Seek emergency care for vertigo with sudden double vision or loss of vision, trouble speaking, facial drooping, new weakness or numbness, severe unsteadiness, fainting, a new severe headache, chest pain or repeated vomiting. These symptoms can signal a problem needing immediate assessment.
Get prompt medical advice for new hearing loss, severe ear pain, fever, an injury, or visual symptoms that do not clear when the episode ends. Do not wait for a routine appointment if symptoms are rapidly worsening.
Questions for your doctor
Ask whether your eye symptoms fit a balance disorder, migraine or an eye or neurological problem; whether you need hearing, eye or balance testing; and which movements or medicines you should avoid until the cause is clearer.

Questions people ask
Can vertigo make your vision blurry?
Yes. Mismatched balance and eye signals can make focusing difficult during an episode, but new or lasting blurring needs assessment.
Can visual symptoms happen without a headache?
Yes. Migraine-related visual or balance symptoms can occur without head pain, although other causes also need consideration.
