What should you know about VBeam for broken capillaries?

The laser delivers light absorbed by blood within a vessel, creating heat that allows the vessel to fade as the skin heals. It may be considered for facial redness, small visible capillaries, and some vascular marks. Broken capillaries can also be associated with rosacea, sun exposure, irritation, or other vascular changes; treating the vessel does not necessarily remove the trigger.

A clinician should examine the vessels, ask about medicines and previous reactions, and choose settings for the area and skin type. Protect the treated skin from sun and follow cooling, cleansing, and makeup instructions. Temporary redness, swelling, bruising, or darkening can occur. Do not pick crusts or use irritating products while the area settles.

Contact the clinic for increasing pain, blistering, spreading redness, pus, or a delayed wound. Urgent review is appropriate for facial swelling with breathing difficulty or eye symptoms. A painful, warm, or suddenly enlarging vessel should be assessed rather than treated cosmetically without diagnosis.
