A Dermapen cartridge holds fine needles that move vertically as the pen passes over the skin. The clinician selects settings for the area and concern; deeper is not automatically better. Treatment can produce redness, pinpoint bleeding, tenderness, swelling and temporary sensitivity. A fresh, sealed cartridge should be opened for you and discarded after use.
