What should you know about soy anaphylaxis?

A person with soy allergy may react after eating soy or, in some situations, after contact with a soy-containing product. Anaphylaxis can cause throat or tongue swelling, hoarse voice, difficulty breathing, wheezing, widespread hives, vomiting, dizziness, or collapse. Skin symptoms may be absent, so do not wait for a rash before treating a suspected severe reaction.
