What should you know about single pulmonary nodule?

A nodule can reflect a previous infection, scar tissue, inflammation or another process. Its appearance, position, change over time and your health history help clinicians decide what it may represent. Many nodules cause no symptoms and are found unexpectedly on imaging. A nodule is a finding, not a final diagnosis, and the report may recommend comparison with older images or additional imaging.
