What should you know about single cell lung cancer?

Small cell lung cancer begins in cells in the lung and can grow or spread quickly. The phrase single cell may be a wording mix-up rather than a separate diagnosis. A pathology report confirms the cancer type, while imaging helps show where it is located. Some people notice a persistent cough, breathlessness, chest discomfort, tiredness or a hoarse voice; a hoarse voice can have many causes and does not by itself establish cancer.
