RF microneedling for cellulite

Cellulite reflects the interaction of fibrous bands, fat compartments, skin thickness, and connective tissue beneath the skin. RF microneedling places needles and controlled heat into selected layers, which may encourage remodeling and make the surface feel or look smoother. It does not change every underlying structure, and it is not a weight-loss treatment. The thighs, buttocks, or other areas can respond differently depending on skin laxity, the depth of dimpling, and previous procedures.

Have the provider inspect the exact dimples while standing and moving, then discuss whether the goal is smoother texture, firmer skin, or both. Mention active rash, infection, easy scarring, medicines that affect healing, and prior procedures. After treatment, follow the clinic’s cleansing and moisturizing plan, avoid picking or friction, and protect exposed skin from sunlight. Wait for healing before deciding whether another session is appropriate.

Get in touch with the clinic if treated skin becomes increasingly painful, hot, swollen, or tender after it had begun improving. Pus, fever, spreading redness, blisters, open wounds, or a strong change in skin color should be assessed. Sudden severe pain or rapidly expanding swelling warrants urgent care.
