What should you know about pie post inflammatory erythema?

The mark can remain after a spot has healed and may look pink, red, or violaceous. It is not the same as a brown post-inflammatory mark, although both can occur together. New acne lesions, picking, friction, and strong sunlight may keep the area noticeable or create additional marks.
