It may be discussed for melasma, sun spots, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, dark patches, or uneven tone. These concerns can have different causes, and laser is not automatically the right first step. Active irritation, tanning, a recent peel, or a tendency to develop raised scars can change the risk assessment.
