Pico laser for scars: what to know

A scar can be darker, lighter, indented, raised, firm, or a mixture of these features. Pico laser may be considered when pigment or surface texture is part of the concern. It is not a single treatment for every scar, and a raised or actively changing scar may need a different medical approach. The clinician will consider when the injury healed, whether the area is still inflamed, your skin tone, and whether you tend to develop post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
