What should you know about pico laser dermatology?

Picosecond Laser technology delivers energy in very short pulses. Depending on the device and settings, a dermatologist may consider it for selected pigment, tattoo ink, or texture concerns. It does not replace diagnosis: Melasma, Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation, Sun Spots, scars, and changing lesions each need different thinking. A consultation should identify the target and whether another treatment is more appropriate.

Expected reactions vary with the treated area and energy. Redness, swelling, sensitivity, temporary crusting, and light or dark pigment changes are possible.
