What should you know about percutaneous pedicle screw?

The screw passes through the pedicle, a strong part of a vertebra, and connects with rods that hold the spine in a planned position. The percutaneous approach uses imaging guidance and limited incisions rather than exposing the whole area. It may be used alongside decompression or fusion when a surgeon needs to support alignment or reduce movement between vertebrae.
