Sugar thread is a marketing term commonly used for fine PDO threads; it does not mean sugar is injected into the skin. Threads are placed beneath the skin in a planned pattern, often to address mild laxity or improve local contour. The early appearance can be affected by swelling and tightness, while the longer-term change reflects healing and collagen activity.
