What should you know about oceleron bursitis?

A bursa can become irritated by repeated pressure, leaning, kneeling, a blow, infection or an inflammatory condition. Pain is often close to the affected joint and may worsen with pressure or movement. Swelling can feel soft or tense, but the location and examination matter because tendon, joint and skin problems can look similar.

Assessment may include questions about injury, activity and fever, followed by examination. If fluid is present, a clinician may recommend joint aspiration to examine or relieve it. The term used in your referral may need clarification if the affected bursa or body region is not specified.
