What should you know about mono threads under eyes?

The skin beneath the eyes is thin, and swelling or bruising can be noticeable. Smooth threads may be placed superficially to support skin quality, but they cannot correct every cause of dark circles, hollowness, puffiness, loose skin, or a tear-trough shadow. A clinician should first identify what is creating the concern.

Cosmetic mono threads are not related to mono as a name for glandular fever. That infection can involve fatigue, fever, sore throat, or swollen glands, but under-eye threads do not diagnose or treat it.
