Nano microneedling explained

The word nano is used inconsistently. Some devices use very short cones or tips that work mainly at the outer skin layer, while conventional microneedling reaches deeper to create controlled injury for collagen remodeling. A nano treatment may leave less visible downtime, but that does not make every device or serum suitable. Ask the provider to explain the actual tip, depth, sterile cartridge, and intended goal rather than relying on the label.

Use a regulated, clinician-led service and confirm that a new sterile cartridge is opened for you. Discuss your skin tone, sensitivity, acne, eczema, cold sores, pigment changes, and the products planned after treatment. Arrive with clean skin and avoid applying unapproved actives into freshly treated areas. Afterward, follow gentle cleansing and moisturising advice, avoid picking and heat, and protect the skin from sunlight. Do not perform nano needling at home with a shared or poorly cleaned device.

Seek advice if redness, burning, swelling, pain, or rash is increasing rather than settling. Pus, fever, spreading warmth, or marked tenderness may indicate infection. Persistent darkening or lightening should be assessed, especially after treatment for pigmentation. Get urgent help for facial swelling with breathing difficulty.
