Facial microneedling: what to know

A clinician moves a needling device over prepared facial skin. The tiny punctures trigger a repair response and collagen remodeling, which may gradually soften the appearance of fine lines, uneven texture, or some acne scars. It does not erase every mark, and the result depends on the concern, skin condition, settings, and healing response.

The face is not one uniform treatment area: cheeks, forehead, nose, and skin near the eyes have different thickness and sensitivity. Get in touch with the provider if discomfort is increasing, redness spreads, the skin becomes hot, or you notice pus, fever, marked swelling, crusting, or blisters.
