What should you know about hyperdilute Radiesse?

Radiesse contains calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres in a gel carrier. When diluted and placed in selected tissue planes, the aim is often a subtle improvement in skin firmness, texture or crepey appearance rather than the contouring effect expected from a thicker filler. The result depends on the area treated, dilution, injection technique and the condition of the skin. It is different from poly-L-lactic acid, another collagen-stimulating material, and from a conventional dermal filler used primarily for structure or volume.

During consultation, share allergies, previous filler treatments, active skin problems, medicines that affect bleeding and any history of firm nodules. Ask which areas are appropriate and whether the plan is staged. After injections, follow the provider's instructions about cleansing, pressure, exercise and heat exposure. Temporary swelling, redness, tenderness or bruising can occur. Do not massage the area unless your injector specifically advises it, because technique and product placement matter.

Contact the treating clinic promptly if swelling is worsening, pain is severe, the skin becomes unusually pale or dusky, or a firm lump persists or changes. Urgent assessment is needed for vision changes, severe headache, weakness, difficulty speaking or breathing after an injectable treatment. These symptoms require prompt attention rather than waiting for a routine follow-up.
