Calcium hydroxylapatite filler is an injectable soft-tissue filler made with calcium hydroxylapatite particles suspended in a gel. Calcium hydroxylapatite is a mineral-like substance related to the mineral component of bone, but the filler is placed in selected soft-tissue planes rather than injected into bone.

The gel can provide early structure, while the particles may encourage the skin to form new collagen around the treated area. It is also known by the brand name Radiesse in some settings. This material has two useful features: an immediate volumising gel and a particulate component that can act as a scaffold for collagen support. It is thicker and more structural than some fine fillers, so it may suit areas needing contour or support rather than delicate surface smoothing.
