What should you know about having trichomoniasis long time?

Trichomoniasis, sometimes called trich, is a sexually transmitted infection caused by a parasite. Having symptoms for a long time does not show when the infection began, and it does not confirm that another condition is present. A clinician can arrange a test and choose treatment based on your history and results.

Some people notice no symptoms or only intermittent changes. Others may have unusual vaginal discharge, vaginal itching, irritation, discomfort when urinating, or pain during sex.
