Ask exactly which areas, if any, will be trimmed and how the clinic will protect nearby hair. Discuss washing, styling products, work plans, hats and whether someone should accompany you after treatment. On the day, follow instructions about medicines and scalp preparation; do not apply unapproved products. Afterward, keep grafts protected from rubbing, wash only as directed and avoid pulling long hair across healing sites. Temporary shedding can occur, and keeping hair unshaved does not make new growth immediate. PRP or scalp micropigmentation may be alternatives for some goals.

Seek urgent help for breathing difficulty, collapse, severe allergic symptoms or swelling that affects vision.
