Hair Transplant Eyebrows: Before and After

Before treatment, a clinician assesses your brow shape, skin, hair characteristics, donor area, and the reason for thinning. A brow is designed to suit facial proportions rather than copied from a fixed template. During the procedure, follicles are taken from a donor area and placed at carefully chosen angles so the new hairs follow the direction of natural eyebrow growth.

Afterward, redness, swelling, small crusts, and temporary shedding can occur. The transplanted follicles may look sparse while they settle, and visible growth develops gradually. Eyebrow hairs continue to grow like scalp hair, so trimming may be needed. The final appearance depends on follicle survival, the donor hair, skin healing, and the design agreed beforehand.

Bring photographs showing brow shapes you like, but expect the plan to be adapted to your face and existing hairs. Tell the clinician about skin conditions, medicines, allergies, previous brow procedures, and any active hair loss. Follow instructions about washing, touching, sleeping position, exercise, and sun exposure. Do not pick crusts or apply makeup until the treated skin has been cleared for it.

Contact the treating clinic promptly if pain, redness, warmth, swelling, discharge, or bleeding is increasing rather than settling, or if you develop fever or feel unwell. Sudden loss of nearby brow hair, marked skin color change, or an unexpected change in the brow direction also deserves review. Seek urgent help for trouble breathing, facial swelling, or signs of a severe allergic reaction.
