Gout in the shoulder: symptoms to recognise

Shoulder gout is less familiar than gout in the foot, and several problems can cause similar pain: a tendon injury, bursitis, arthritis, an infected joint or, after trauma, a fracture. Get prompt assessment for new severe shoulder pain, marked loss of movement or a shoulder that is hot and swollen.
