Forehead headache

Pressure across the forehead with a blocked or runny nose may occur with Allergic Rhinitis, a Common Cold, or Chronic Sinusitis. Thirst, dark urine, dizziness, heat exposure, or heavy sweating points toward Dehydration or Heat Exhaustion. Fever, body aches, sore throat, or cough can accompany COVID-19. Tight scalp, jaw, neck, or shoulder muscles may contribute, while stress and persistent worry can amplify headache symptoms in Generalised Anxiety Disorder.

Rest in a quiet, cool space and drink fluids if dehydration or heat may be involved. Reduce bright screens, loosen tight hair or headwear, and try gentle neck movement. A cool cloth over the forehead can be soothing. Use pain medicine only as directed on its label, and ask a pharmacist if you have other conditions, take regular medicines, or are needing it often. Note the start time, triggers, associated symptoms, and what helps.

Seek emergency care for a sudden explosive headache, new weakness or numbness, confusion, seizure, fainting, vision loss, or a stiff neck with fever. Get prompt help after a head injury, or for severe headache with repeated vomiting. Medical review is appropriate when headaches are new, frequent, progressively worsening, or accompanied by fever and a spreading rash.
