What should you know about folliculitis in vulva?

Folliculitis occurs around hairs on the outer vulval skin, especially where pubic hair grows. Shaving, waxing, tight clothing, sweating, and rubbing can inflame follicles or contribute to an ingrown hair. You may notice red bumps, small pustules, itch, tenderness, or crusting.
