Face wrinkle treatment: what to know

Wrinkles are folds or lines that become more visible as skin changes with age, repeated facial movement, and accumulated sun exposure. Dryness can make texture look more pronounced without being the sole cause.

Daily broad-spectrum sunscreen, shade, gentle cleansing, and moisturising help limit further sun-related change. A clinician may discuss botulinum toxin injections for selected movement-related lines. Dermal fillers may be considered when loss of support or volume contributes to a crease. These procedures have different effects, risks, and aftercare, so an in-person assessment is needed.

Do not inject or buy prescription products from unverified sources. Share allergies, medicines, previous procedures, pregnancy plans, and any history of unusual scarring before treatment.
