Threading pulls and presses on the skin close to recent injection points. Early manipulation can worsen tenderness or irritation and makes it harder to keep the treated area clean. Botox changes muscle activity gradually, so brow shape may also continue to settle after the appointment. The safest interval depends on injection sites, skin response, the amount of threading planned and the injector’s aftercare instructions. Do not thread over skin that is bruised, swollen, hot, broken or unusually tender.

Tell the threading practitioner when and where Botox was injected, and show any areas that remain sensitive. Use clean tools and avoid threading if the skin is irritated or if you have recently used a strong exfoliant. After threading, leave the skin alone, avoid rubbing the injection area and follow the injector’s cleansing guidance. If you need brow shaping soon after treatment, ask whether trimming or gentle tweezing away from injection sites is more suitable.

Contact the injector for increasing swelling, spreading redness, marked pain, discharge or a rash after threading. Seek urgent care for trouble breathing or swallowing, widespread allergic symptoms, severe eye pain, double vision or new vision changes. A drooping eyelid or brow should be reported to the treating clinician so it can be assessed in context.
