How to use Differin gel

Differin contains adapalene, a topical retinoid that helps normalize the way skin cells shed inside pores. This can reduce blocked pores and help prevent new acne lesions. Mild dryness, redness, scaling, stinging, or a temporary increase in visible breakouts can occur as your skin adjusts.

Wash with a gentle cleanser, pat dry, and wait until the skin is fully dry before applying. Use a small amount spread over the acne-prone area rather than placing extra gel on individual spots. Keep it away from the eyes, lips, nostrils, cuts, and eczema patches. Moisturizer can support comfort, and daytime sunscreen helps reduce sensitivity to sunlight. Avoid piling on abrasive scrubs or several irritating acne products unless a clinician has planned that combination.
