What should you know about Dermastamp microneedling?

A Dermastamp presses a cluster of fine needles into selected areas rather than sweeping continuously across the skin. The controlled injury can trigger a repair response and may gradually improve uneven texture, some scars or the appearance of sun-damaged skin. It is different from a microneedling pen, which moves a powered needle cartridge over the skin. The depth, pressure and treatment area should be chosen by a trained professional.

Tell the clinician about active acne, cold sores, eczema, psoriasis, medicines that affect bleeding, and any tendency to form raised scars. Arrive with clean skin and follow instructions about pausing irritating products. After treatment, expect temporary redness, warmth, sensitivity or pinpoint bleeding. Use only the aftercare products advised, protect the area from sun, avoid picking and wait until the skin has settled before restarting strong exfoliants. Microneedling, Fractional Laser Treatment and RF Microneedling are related options but are not interchangeable.

Contact the treating clinician if redness, swelling, pain or heat is worsening rather than settling, or if blisters, pus, spreading rash or fever develops. Sudden facial swelling or breathing difficulty needs emergency care. A review is also appropriate if pigmentation becomes noticeably darker after treatment or healing is delayed.
