What should you know about dermapen on scalp?

A pen-shaped device moves across cleansed scalp skin, creating fine channels at a chosen depth. The intended response is local healing and remodeling of the skin. It is not the same as diagnosing or treating every cause of shedding; hair loss can relate to inflammation, hormones, nutrition, medicines, or scarring, and those causes need separate assessment.

The scalp may feel warm, tight, tender, or look red afterward. Results, if they occur, develop gradually as the skin settles. Active infection, an unexplained rash, or a bleeding tendency can change whether treatment is suitable.

Before treatment, describe recent scalp symptoms, medicines, allergies, previous procedures, and any history of poor wound healing. Ask whether the area should be washed with a particular product and whether styling products, hair dye, intense heat, or vigorous exercise should be paused afterward.

Follow the clinic’s aftercare instructions, keep hands and unapproved products away from treated skin, and protect the scalp from strong sun. Contact the treating clinic if redness, swelling, pain, warmth, or drainage is increasing rather than easing, or if you develop spreading irritation, fever, or a new tender rash. Seek urgent help for facial swelling, trouble breathing, fainting, or other signs of a severe allergic reaction.
