The neck may be treated for uneven texture or selected signs of sun damage, but it can react differently from the face. Clothing collars, perfume, hair products, sweat, and frequent movement can irritate freshly treated skin. A clinician should inspect the area for dermatitis, infection, suspicious lesions, or pigmentation concerns before choosing settings. A neck procedure should not be extended onto the chest without a separate assessment.

Keep the area free of fragrance and irritating products before and after treatment as instructed. Wear loose, clean clothing that does not rub the skin, avoid scratching, heat, and swimming while it heals, and apply the recommended bland moisturiser. Shield the neck from sunlight with clothing and sunscreen once the skin can tolerate it. Do not use a home pen over a rash or mole.

Contact the clinic if discomfort, redness, warmth, swelling, or drainage is increasing. Fever, pus, spreading rash, or blisters require prompt assessment. Get urgent help for breathing or facial swelling. A persistent colour change, firm bump, or non-healing spot should be examined instead of repeatedly needled.
