What should you know about clear bumps on face?

Tiny, firm, pearly bumps around the eyes or cheeks can fit Milia. Bumps centred on hairs, especially with redness, tenderness or itching, may fit Folliculitis. Sweating and hot weather can trigger Heat Rash. Rough, uniform bumps may be Keratosis Pilaris, while a purple, itchy or spreading rash needs a clinician to consider other causes such as Lichen Planus. Clear does not describe one diagnosis, and a photograph or examination may be needed.

Wash gently with lukewarm water, use non-comedogenic products, and avoid picking, squeezing or scrubbing the bumps. Pause a newly introduced cosmetic if irritation began afterward. Keep sweaty skin cool and dry, and use sun protection so lingering marks are less noticeable. Do not freeze or remove a lesion at home; a dermatologist can decide whether Cryotherapy (Lesion Removal) is suitable. An Antihistamine Treatment may help itch in selected situations, but it does not identify the cause.

Arrange a dermatology assessment if the bumps persist, multiply, recur, become painful, bleed, crust, or affect the eyelids or vision. Seek prompt care for rapid swelling of the face, lips or tongue, breathing difficulty, fever, or a blistering rash. Bring the products you use and note when the bumps started, whether they itch, and whether heat or shaving changes them.
