What should you know about cherry angioma spreading?

A cherry angioma is a small cluster of superficial blood vessels that can look bright red, purple-red, or deeper maroon. Seeing several spots in a new area does not by itself show that an earlier angioma has extended. New lesions can develop separately on the trunk, arms, shoulders, or other skin. Friction, scratching, or changes in the surface can make one spot look larger or more noticeable.
