What should you know about cat cough blood?

Blood brought up with a cough may come from the nose, throat, windpipe, or deeper airways. A forceful cough can irritate small blood vessels. Acute bronchitis, bronchiectasis, asthma-related airway irritation, and other lung conditions can also cause blood-streaked mucus. Blood from the stomach or mouth can look similar, so the colour, texture, and trigger matter.
