Seizure-like activity can involve stiff limbs, rhythmic movements, paddling, a vacant response, drooling, or loss of balance. Causes in rabbits can include toxins, head injury, infection, dangerously low blood glucose, or problems affecting the brain and nervous system. Meningitis is one possible medical cause; alcohol exposure and hypoglycaemia are also concerns in the right context. Only a veterinarian can assess the cause, because fainting, pain, or severe weakness may look similar.

Move nearby objects away and keep the rabbit on a low, padded surface. Do not restrain the body, put fingers or food in the mouth, force water, or give human medicine. Dim lights and reduce noise.
