It may be offered for concerns such as uneven texture, acne scarring, or skin laxity. Results and recovery vary with treatment depth, energy settings, body area, skin response, and the concern being treated.

Fine insulated or non-insulated needles enter the skin while the device delivers energy at a chosen depth. The resulting controlled injury and heat can stimulate repair and collagen remodelling below the surface. This differs from standard microneedling, which does not add radiofrequency energy.

A trained clinician chooses settings after examining skin thickness, tone, scars, active inflammation, and treatment history. Darker skin tones can be treated, but careful parameter selection and aftercare matter because inflammation can leave temporary or persistent colour change.

Before treatment, disclose pregnancy, a tendency to raised scars, active acne or infection, cold sores, implanted electrical devices, recent procedures, and medicines that affect healing or bleeding. Do not stop prescribed medicine unless the prescriber approves.

Afterward, use the recommended gentle cleanser and moisturiser, protect the area from sun, and avoid picking or exfoliating while it heals. Follow the clinic's instructions about makeup, exercise, swimming, heat exposure, and restarting active skincare products.

Redness, warmth, swelling, tenderness, and a rough or dry feel can occur during early recovery. Contact the treating clinic if these changes are worsening rather than settling, or if you develop increasing pain, pus, spreading redness, blisters, marked swelling, or a new dark or pale patch.

Seek urgent medical care for facial swelling with breathing difficulty, faintness, or rapidly spreading hives. These are not routine treatment effects and need immediate assessment.

Ask who will perform the procedure, which device and needle type will be used, how settings suit your skin and concern, what improvement is realistic, and how recovery may affect work or exercise. Request a clear plan for managing pigment change, infection, or scarring if it occurs.
