DHA License Verification: Check Any Doctor or Facility in Dubai

Go to the DHA Sheryan portal (sheryan.dha.gov.ae) and click on 'Search Health Professional' or 'Search Health Facility'. You can search by the professional's name, license number, or specialisation. The results show: full name, nationality, primary qualification, specialisation, license type (Specialist, Consultant, General Practitioner), license status (Active, Suspended, Revoked), the facility they are registered with, and the license expiry date. If a professional's license shows as anything other than 'Active', do not proceed with treatment.

A DHA license confirms that the healthcare professional has: passed the DHA prometric exam or qualified for exam exemption, had their credentials verified (primary degree, specialisation, internship), completed a good standing certificate from their previous country of practice, and been approved to practice a specific specialty in Dubai. The license does not guarantee quality of care, but it confirms the minimum regulatory requirements have been met. DHA licenses must be renewed annually, so check that the license is current.

You can also verify any healthcare facility's DHA license through the same portal. Search by facility name to see: license type (hospital, clinic, pharmacy, diagnostic centre), license status, address, and the facility's DHA registration number. Every legitimate healthcare facility in Dubai must display their DHA license prominently on their premises.

For Abu Dhabi: Use the DOH (Department of Health) portal at doh.gov.ae to verify professionals licensed in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and the Al Dhafra region. For Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, RAK, and UAQ: Use the MOHAP (Ministry of Health and Prevention) portal at mohap.gov.ae. Each authority maintains its own register, and a license from one authority does not automatically apply in another emirate.
