About IVF Treatment (One Cycle)
In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) involves stimulating the ovaries to produce multiple eggs, retrieving the eggs, fertilising them with sperm in a laboratory, and transferring the resulting embryo(s) into the uterus. One cycle typically takes 4–6 weeks.

What to expect
Ovarian stimulation with daily hormone injections for 10–14 days. Egg retrieval under sedation (15–30 minutes). Sperm and eggs are combined in the lab. Embryos develop for 3–5 days. One or two embryos are transferred to the uterus. A pregnancy test follows 10–14 days later. Ask the clinic whether its quote includes medication, monitoring, egg retrieval, laboratory work and embryo transfer.
