What to Expect
Each breast is placed on a flat surface and compressed with a paddle for a few seconds while the X-ray is taken. Two views are typically taken of each breast. The compression can be uncomfortable but lasts only seconds. The entire exam takes 15–20 minutes.
Insurance Coverage
