Why does fibroadenoma cause breast lump?

Breast Lump is a very common presentation of Fibroadenoma. The growth contains both milk-making tissue and supportive tissue, which gives it a solid texture. It may feel smooth, round or oval, and mobile under the skin. Some fibroadenomas are too small to feel, while others become noticeable during hormonal changes. A lump can be tender or painless. These features can suggest a fibroadenoma, but touch alone cannot identify the tissue type or exclude other causes.

Arrange an examination for any new or changing breast lump. The clinician may compare both breasts and ask about timing, growth, pain, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and medicines.
