Why does endometritis cause heavy bleeding after birth?

A clinician may examine you, check your vital signs, and arrange tests or imaging. If endometritis is diagnosed, antibiotics and treatment for bleeding may be needed. Keep track of how quickly pads are becoming saturated and report clots, dizziness, or breathlessness.

Get emergency help for rapidly increasing bleeding, fainting, severe dizziness, shortness of breath, chest pain, confusion, or severe abdominal pain. Lie down while waiting for help if you feel faint, and avoid driving yourself.
